Every writing project needed?

My daughter likes AESOP, but it took two almost three weeks for her to finish the Top and the Ball. The length of it was really long for her. I know that the models are ordered by difficulty, but does each model need to become a writing project? If I skip some of the longer ones, which are usually at the end, would the program still work down the line?

Certainly, you can skip models. That's the beauty of being the teacher -- you can customize the content and workload to your own student. If it's the physical writing/typing part that is slowing the process down, you could have her dictate the story to speed things up. There's plenty of time to work on handwriting and typing skills without tying them into an actual writing project.
